i know she will one day stand up to those mean kids .. it took me a while too... i think she should definitely start joining the online support groups. i know that definitely helped me, especially this one <3
Hello Jodi. Yes, i did meet Jessica and i look forward to meeting Katelyn today :D thank you for the compliment... :) I love helping people who are going through what i've been through. i have also helped another young girl who is now a freshman at my school :) it's a wonderful and gratifying feeling to be able to possibly make a difference in someone's life and it's wonderful to be able to have someone feel that you're not alone.. unfortunately for the first 7 yrs or so of having alopecia, i felt alone because i thought i was the only one in the world losing my hair at such a young age. thank goodness for my wonderful family who reassured me that i am beautiful with or without hair... now, of course, i realize i'm not alone and that there are sooo many other beautiful people losing hair too. i tell you, it was one of the best feelings finding out that there are thousands of people with alopecia!
If you have any questions or anything please do not hesitate to ask me.
Hello and welcome, Jodi!
I know alopecia can be really hard; sometimes worse for the parents than their child. How are you and your daughter doing today?
