Has anyone heard of Revita hair growth and does anyone recommend it? My sister's hair stylist gave her a brochure for my mother (who has AU) about this shampoo made of plant stem sells and other stimulates that is designed specifically for those with follicular dysfunction. According to their brochure, it works but I just wanted to see if anyone else has had any success or disappointment before I try it!
Any advice is welcome! Thank you! :)

I lost all of my hair shortly before my first year of high school and now, here I am today with short hair. Sure, it is falling out again but who would have thought that after four years of treatment with no results that without anything, hair would grow? It amazes me. Anyways, as I was thinking about my one year anniversary with hair, I started thinking about what I am going to do once I have lost it again and what my new college friends, who know but do not understand Alopecia, will do in…

I have currently made the decision to stop treatment after I am finished with my prednisone (you have to be weened off of it). Again. I feel like I should keep up with the treatments because my hair has started to grow again but at the same time I feel like I am going against who I really am. As you can see, I am so indecisive about myself which is super strange because back in high school I was all, NO HAIR, DON'T CARE! BRING ON THE MONKEY HATS. I think I have only become insecure because…

I am having a wonderful Halloween weekend here at college. I was able to do so many fun things with my hair! :) I have to admit, I am extremely nervous for my doctor's appointment on Friday. I have to decide whether or not I want to continue prednisone or if I want to quit again. They want to do shots in my head but last time those were very painful and only helped on the small spots, not on the large one on the side of my head. I guess you could say it's decision time but really there…

I am a freshman in college and have personally had Alopecia for almost 5 years now. I would say that it doesn't bother me anymore, but sometimes I find myself staring in the mirror and wondering what I would look like if I still had my long, brown hair. I think the hardest part of having Alopecia is that my twin sister does not and I have a constant reminder of how things should be. I know it's not her fault, but I feel like that is almost natural to feel. Fortunately, these moments of…
