I got a new and first wig and wore it for the first day in public and at church. Most people didn't say anything but kind of looked at me a little differently. A lady at my church made the comment "you're wearing a wig" after someone asked who did my hair. I about broke down at church. I then explained to them that my hair had been falling out since my 3rd heart surgery and I had lost alot of it this week. I am not sure if I will be able to make it back to my church again. This profile pic is of my new wig. Does it look too thick? The bottom pic is of my hair naturally. I did flat iron my wig and have been pushing it flat so it didn't look too thick.

I think you look great with your new "hair"! I don't know why some people just blurt out remarks without thinking but we just have to learn how to deal with them! I'm sure you'll get some positive comments :-)

I am so sorry. I agree with all the others; I think the wig looks fantastic. Keep your chin up and be proud of who you are and how you are dealing with your problems.

Dawn it looks great! Don't worry about what others say, unfortunately we are all human and sometimes stick our foot in our mouths without even thinking about it. Don't let anyone else's comments make you feel less okay? You look beautiful, so just hold your head up and don't be embarrassed- you have no reason to feel bad!

I think you look great too! Natural too! People can be so cruel. Do what you feel as far as going back- Bost your own confidence with how you look. Tell yourself everyday you look great!
For those who are shallow enuff to point out to you that your look is different- you can always tell them is something like this, " well, you know, I feel so much better with how I look now. Its great is is not? Thank you. " - course I have become cynical and sarcastic in my older age with dealing with those who are so insignificant and shallow.
You look pretty awesome to me and others - so here is your 'boost' for today! Hugs!

i love your wig!! i think it looks awesome!! it takes a minute to get use to it but pretty soon people wont even realize you wear a wig anymore. you if you leave the church.. they win. kill them with kindness so they'll be ashamed of how they acted to you.

oh no i luv this wis looks great i actually wanted to know who it's by>? chin up your beautiful, people who know you will of course notice the difference but others will nev er guess. also you not going to be used to the thickness for a while because your hair has been thinning for so long so just enjoy your beautiful hair and people will accept your new look in no time.
