Seasonal alopecia?

Posted on November 3, 2010 at 12:00pm 6 Comments

Hi friends! I have a totally random thought. Has anyone noticed any connection with hair loss and seasons? I have a few patches right now and noticed that this is the 3rd fall in a row that this has happened. It seems that I only lose hair in the fall. Has anyone else noticed this? Am I crazy? :)

So...after round two of patches and bald spots..... Its growing in strong. I have both eye brows and eyelashes!!! Hooray! I even have to shave my legs again. (I could have kept that part hairless) I have even had two haircuts since then! Thank You Jesus that you are the God of the unlikely and the impossible!…

Round 2 is harder than expected

Posted on December 28, 2009 at 2:28am 6 Comments

And it seems to be Round 2 of Alopecia. It seems harder this time than the first time around. Everyone keeps saying that it is easy this time because I know what to expect and I already have wigs. But, for some reason, I'm having a harder time with it and don't feel like I can tell anyone that I am having a harder time. Is that stupid?

Well, heres where I stand as of now. I started noticing it coming out in the shower about a week and a half ago....…

skin lupus?

Posted on May 8, 2009 at 4:08pm 1 Comment

Has anyone heard of skin lupus before? I know what lupus is, but have never heard of 'skin lupus'. I just had several skin biopsies where they are looking for 'skin lupus'. Its the next thing on the list (of doctor's guesses) to rule out. Does anyone else have this??

Hi, you look pretty with hair and without! My hair grew back for 1/2 a year and then all of it came out, even my eyebrows and eyelashes. What did you do when your eyelashes came out? They look good in every picture?

Hi, I was browsing around and saw your profile. Did you say that your hair grew back, and it started again? I think I am going to go through the same situation. I found out I had it like 2 years ago, and was bald for about a year before it started growing back, and it stayed for like a year, so I thought I was done with it, but I found two spots last week, and they are getting bigger fast. Do you do treatments for yours? If you do what do you do?

Rachel,
Are any of these wigs prosthetic freedomwigs...vacume wigs?
Oh for what ever it's worth...you look great in every one of them.
They all have a great style."WOW"
Although I can't wear any wigs natural or synthetic..on that woven messy stuff!
Just get wheezing asthma, eczema and allergy attacks.
I do have a new prosthetic wig...yet must shave every day since some hair grew back. That causes razor burn and too much irritation.
Plus the heat is too much for a vacume wig....it slides off...cause there is a flood happening under there.
I guess it works better in winter and when I'm in the air con.
Either way...I'm Cool walking without my hair...."COOL & COOL"
