Susan, if you are comfortable going without the wig, then I say lose it and just go have some fun!!! You can wear a bandana...if you tie it tight it won't come off. I wear bandanas all day at work and they never budge. If you feel more comfortable wearing a wig, then just take it off when you go on the rides and hang on to it. Don't worry what people think - just have some fun!!!

Hi Susan,

I agree with Bogie and Mandy. I would wear a bandanna or scarf if I was you. Be prepared to feel self conscious at first, but if you focus on having fun and being your self, chances are that it won't take long before you forget about it.There is a big possibility if you wear the wig you will be more concerned and worried about it falling off... that it will distract you from really having fun. I went to Disney when I first lost my hair and wore a wig on the roller coaster. I spent more time and energy trying not to lose the wig than anything else. That evening I put the wig in my suitcase and enjoyed the rest of my vacation. Let us know how it goes.

Psalm 139:
13 For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb.

14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.

15 My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth,

16 your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.

Hi Susan, I think you should wear a scarf if you feel self conscious, I recently shaved my head because of AA and being tired of trying to find ways to cover the spots. I've always been confident, but shaving my head has really given me more confidence than ever. I am now in control and I love it. You will be fine no matter what you choose, you are a beautiful young lady and if anyone stares it will be because of your stunning beauty :-)

Hello Susan, Be comfortable and confident, no matter what you choose. If you are comfortable in a scarf, that would be the safest bet if you are self conscious. Think about what will allow you to be worry-free and have a relaxed, fun day.

Hello there Susan! When my daughter was 8 years old, we went to a theme park, and she comfortably wore a snug head scarf on all of those scary roller coasters (she had lost about 1/4 of her hair atop her head). Now, at age 11, she has some small patchy loss (so far). We went to a theme park a month ago, and she wore a baseball cap while in line, then handed the baseball cap to me just before boarding the ride (I'm too chicken to ride those scary rides!). Once she was off of the ride, I was there waiting and handed her the baseball cap. So, be yourself, have fun with your friends, and know that you will probably never see those strangers from the park ever again ~ so who cares what they think!! Have fun sweetie!!
