I am sure I have read somewhere that Gluten Intolerance is another Auto-immune disorder, like Eczema, Arthritis, other types of Food Intolerance, Hay-fever, Asthma, Psoriasis, Celiac Disease etc. There are quite a few more. I had eczema when I was a child, but just get a little dermatitis on my hands occasionally now and have psoriatic arthritis in one of my thumb joints but do not have the skin psoriasis that can go with it.
I have a friend who has Celiac disease which is a sensitivity to gluten, which she developed in her thirties but no Alopecia and I think there is Asthma in her family too. Its an interesting subject.

Yes ! I have read a lot about there being a relationship between the two. My sister has Celiac's Disease and I have Alopecia. I am now on a Gluten Free Diet to see if it changes anything. I have only been doing it a week, but I figure what do I have to lose?

I did a gluten free detox diet for five months........I really was only able to eat free range chicken, fish and organic fruits and veggies........and it was hard.....I didn't see any results....but with alopecia everyone is different so you never know it might work for other people
