A funny thing happend on the way home from NAAF

Hello Gang,
It's been three years now since my alopecia started.
It all started July 5th 2007 with a small round bald spot on the left side of my head. Within three months I had lost so much hair I decided to take the plunge and shave my head for the first time.
I became comfortable with my new self image with the help of Alopecia World and NAAF (3 conferences in 3 years)
I was AU for about a year and slowly things have been "Growing Along"

After the NAAF Conf in INDY this year I decided I wasn't going to shave my head on a daily basis.
The results are in after three short weeks.
Only time will tell....

Mary,
Before my alopecia started I tried Just for Men hair dye and it totally burned my face! I left in on for only 3 minutes instead of the reccomended 5 minutes. I must have been allergic to something in it so I never tried it again. I'll take the white hair anyday!

Dominique,
My regime for the past 3 years have been Minoxidil 5% twice daily, Biotin 5000mcg daily, Vitamin D 2000iu daily and a multi vitamindaily. Thats the schedule. Dont know if it had anything to do with the regrowth but it hasnt hurt either.

Cheryl,
Thanks for helping me with the acceptance. I gained it the first time we met at NAAF in 2008 in Louisville along with my daily encounters with AW these past 3 years. Thanks so much!!!

Thanks Susan!

Hey Jeffrey...I get two Furlough Fridays a month now, starting tomorrow. What's the SF Support Group schedule, in case I feel like travelling between now and Christmas? Got to see your new lawn patch!

Now c'mon, Jeff. We can accept the Non-Bald You, but horizontal blue and white stripes???? With those colour eyes????? I think there's a new treatment on the market..... ;)

Nah, seriously: congrats - you didn't actually need the hair, but it's all about feeling good, yeah? As for the top... that's what I'm REALLY jealous of. Makes all mine look like they came from a Charity Shop. Oh, hang on... they did...:)

Thanks Heather! I might need a trim soon. Glad I turned your day around for you.
