Brows and lashes?

my son's eyelashes and brows have started to come back slowly but haven't darkened in color. any comments? his doctor said they would come back but now I am doubtful, hair is re-growing on his head but it is in patches, and is turning dark so that makes me wonder about his brows and lashes even more, thanks for any help

Okay, first of all, if your doctor is telling you that anything will come back with certainty - you need to get a new doctor! Nothing is predictable with this condition. I have found with my regrowth that it doesn't mean a thing until the hair gains pigment otherwise it's just peach fuzz or like baby hair and is not "real" hair. The fact that the hair on his head is coming back dark is promising however that's not to say it will all come back - the hair will come back if and when it wants to. Everything with alopecia is a "wait and see" scenario and the best thing you can do is to continue supporting him and loving him no matter what happens and if need be help him cope. Good luck.
