Cool costumes only alopecians can do for Halloween!

Hey everybody - If you have a bald head, think about the costume possibilities! Let's get out there this Halloween and win some costume contests (or, at least, scare the heck out of our neighbors' kids at the door).

I just bought some HORNS - they're not very big, about an inch and a half tall, but they look absolutely amazing sticking up out of the top of my smooth scalp. People with hair have to put them on their foreheads, but mine are going right on the top, a little to the sides. They have a flesh-colored base and will stick on with spirit glue and look like they're coming right out of my head. I'm going to also wear my old Vulcan ears...should be quite a look. Here's a photo of the horns I bought ($15.00 at a Halloween shop):

Another great idea for gals is the sexy character from the first Star Trek movie, "Ilia". Google "Ilia Star Trek", and you'll see lots of photos of her. Here's a full-length photo:

I've never had an opportunity to do this, but if I did this costume, I'd definitely go a bit longer on the white shirt/tunic (a man's dress white shirt from a thrift shop should work), and wear flesh-colored tights and then a stick-on LED red "jewel" at my throat. Easy and guaranteed to stop traffic and win contests.

Share your ideas in this blog for cool Halloween costumes that make baldness a plus!

LOVE the mannequine idea! Have you all noticed how many trendy shops are using completely bald mannequins these days?

My favorite alopecian costume was being a mannequin. I had tags on all my clothes and sat on stick like chair doing different poses throughout the night. Was also my friends uncle one year. It just turned out that my weird little man costume ended up looking like his uncle. A bit odd but very funny.

Well on the Science Fiction front there’s Pa’u Zotoh from Farscape. I think that would be fun. On the Horror side (possibly more in keepiong with Halloween) there is Nosferatu the Vampyre, and a couple of characters from Hellraiser. Not sure I’d want to do Pinhead though. Could be a bit painful.

I answered the door looking like a ghoul. Not a pretty site but got a lot of laughs.

Last year I went as a blue man. It was pretty awesome! I used liquid blue face paint, it worked really well and came off extremely easy.

When my son was 9 he made an awesome Uncle Fester. He won a local costume contest. Plans this year is to paint an open zipper with gears and sprockets showing.

All RIGHT! Looks great, Paul! I'll post a pic of me wearing them after Halloween. Thanks for posting the photos - anyone else have any pics from Halloweens past?
