Alopecia World
Where acceptance is all there is!
Finally AT again :D
We get a lot of blogs here with people overjoyed about regrowth, or upset because of more hair loss, so this might seem a little backwards. Bear with me.
I've had alopecia pretty much forever, but I've been growing random patches for the last five years or so. Of course this made me happy at first, but after a year without full growth and having to shave to keep wearing my wig, it was just an annoyance. I've become slightly jealous of people with totally smooth heads.
Not anymore though! I've gone back to having AT, just like I was about 5 years ago. I know this is weird, but I seriously couldn't be happier. I've had alopecia for too long to want hair - I wouldn't know what to do with it. (Seriously, how do people sleep without it chokeing them?)
Now, if only I can lose the hair on my legs but keep my eyebrows... :P

haha your writing is perfect. I'm glad someone else is feeling the same. I feel a bit distant sometimes with all the people on here wanting their hair back. I am lucky enough to have kept my eyebrows but best of luck to you with yours :)

I'm so happy to have read your post!
Believe it or not but I had a little anxiety to the idea of having hair again (but I wouldnt mind my eyebrows back lol) because all of a sudden I wasent sure what I would look like as if it would take me another load of energy to learn to live with myself and be accepting of what the mirror projects. (I'm french so just get the meaning of what I'm writing ;) )
