My bald night out a major confidence boost!

Hey all.

Yet another small thing I feel like sharing.

I went out to a club bald. :)

like, no scarf, no hat, no hair bald, to an alcohol filled, too loud doof-doof music club. First time ever, and it was awesome.

I've been wanting to do this for a while now. I think clubs are fairly high pressure anyway, with all the guys looking to find girls, and the girls all dolled up so that they can find guys or at least look better than the other girls. I figured if I can be gorgeous in this scenario, I'm pretty much set for all others.

Two of the guys in the college and a bunch of the girls were heading out to gay club they'd been to before and said was amazing. I was looking for a club that wouldn't be judgemental, and I figured this would be the most open minded crowd I was going to get. I wore my power-dress (a dark red knit dress that shows off my tiny waist) and favourite boots because I needed the confidence boost. I may have also had an extra beer to help.

I was actually getting pretty nervous right before I headed out when, with the most perfect timing ever, I got a random text from my boy telling me that I'm gorgeous. (Cue "awwww")

I had the best time! We danced to lady gaga, my friend made me sing four kareoke songs (I will Survive went down particularly well), and somebody even hit on me. Can't get more confidence inspiring than that!

Good for you! I have stopped wearing my hairpiece for a few months now, and I am loving every minute of it!

that's great :) I'm happy that you had a great time. I pray for you and those I don't even know yet that those going through (or have gone through) the same thing I am to give them the strength to keep going. And for their happiness and for God to bless them

Awesome Georgia! I remember the first time I went out without a wig too. It was very exhilarating. At first I stood at the door with my hand on the door knob for a few before I took a deep breath and walked out. I never regretted it!

I also put my experience in a blog that you can read here.

Yeah!!! I remember all my first baby steps...to the mailbox, grocery store, etc. THIS is huge for you and it will only get easier. For me, bald is just who I am and I only think about wearing a scarf or hat if I'm chilly or in the sun. Congratulations! I've written a number of blogs about my experiences - sharing the journey has helped me so much. Here's one I posted on my 4th anniversary of being bald:
