Hello very interesting news about the treatment of alopecia. CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy) is helping many with alopecia. Although stress is a most probably a contributing factor to alopecia; ongoing stress or more specifically situation related stress- anxiety is a big obstacle why hair takes time to regrow. This anxiety state adds to our unwell health and increases our stress hormones stunting hair growth.
If we feel quite self conscious and avoid doing things as of alopecia then this circle of avoidance can grow increasing anxiety further and not lead to hair growth. Although seemingly difficult alopecia should not stop you from doing things and CBT helps to decipher the irrationality of various fears and gets you doing things again.
The first step always starts in the mind relax it constantly and find your anxiety triggers facing them one by one until your mind feels no fear in any situation (well at least in everyday circumstances, snakes still scare the living heck out of me). You should not feel fear going to town, you should not feel fear meeting people, you should not feel fear going to appointments, making friends, or in the workplace, or doing fun things to relax outside.
