I shaved my head because I was tired of looking at one hair falling out at a tim. I was tired of assessing how big the pateches were or were not getting. I was tired of worrying about if my bald spots were showing. Look out, World! I have a bald spot showing! It's called my scalp. LOL. It took longer than I thought (a friend and my husband both helped) and my hair held on like a pit bull. But we won at last. I feel so much better. I have a wig I lke and I've ordered two more plus one of those scarves Mary shows us how to fold on the way. I am feeling very good about it, and I think I'm kind of cute bald, don't you?

Kudos on your new look which, by the way, is just smashing! You look GREAT without the hair. I have been keeping my head shaved for some time now and find being bald an incredible relief. It is so freeing now to have to stress over hair falling out. I hope that you experience the same freedom.

You look great, Nancy! I like your eyeliner better than mine...my gal did a good job with the shape, but made them too thick and "dramatic" for me. I look great from a few feet away, but close up I think they're a bit heavy. But, it's better than drawing it in every day.

Hi Nants!
I work for Pink Sneakers Productions and we are currently casting for a new documentary series on TLC, tentatively titled "Life Chronicles." We are looking for individuals with alopecia to share their story and to englighten our viewers about this disorder and how someone deals with it on a day to day basis. I would love to hear more about your story. I think it is really brave that you shaved your head once you found out you had alopecia and I would love to hear about how your family has helped you through your alopecia experience. Please email us at casting@pinksneakers.net if you would like to get involved. I hope to talk to you soon!

Hi Ashley,

Thank you for your interest in a program about alopecia! I sent you a separate email with some information. Please help us get the word out about this disease and how it affects lives.
