When I shaved last year (then went AU soon after), I started sitting out in my backyard wearing a sun hat that doesn't have any top - it's basically a visor that wraps around the head. I put on sunblock and timed my self and it slowly evened up the color!

thanx girls... i am having a lot of fun with this bald thing! i have been running into old friends this summer that i haven't seen since before i shaved. they are all in awe and all ask what the hell i did to my hair. i explain the alopecia and then they apologize. but it doesn't hurt my feelings because i know that they are just curious and a lot of people dont even know what alopecia is. so i am teaching and having fun at the same time. the only thing that bothers me is they all want to see my bald head which means i have to take off my bandanna... and that means i have to fix it all over again. lol.
