Got Kenalog shot and 2 rounds of scalp shots and still shedding!!

Hey guys! Just wondering if any one ever experienced getting the shots in the scalp and butt and still having massive shedding?! Last year when I got the shots, the shedding stopped like right away after I received them. I at least slowed down way more then. This time, I have already gotten 2 rounds of the scalp shots and one shot in the butt and still tons and tons of shedding! It is driving me crazy literally! What the hell is going on?! Has this happened to anyone else. Does it just stop working?? They told me that they would try the pred. pills next if this didn't work. I'm really scared to take those pills. What should I do, just quit? I still have a lot of hair but a lot of hair loss as well. Thanks in advance for any response!

What's up with shots in the butt? I've never heard of that! Seriously, I'm RH negative and had to receive a shot in the butt each of the two times I was pregnant. That HURT like crazy!!

As for shedding...I think mine comes and goes and it lasts for a while. It's weird.

The shot in the butt is just more of the Kenalog plus all the shots on the scalp, like getting a double dose. That still didn't seem to slow it down this time and it's driving me crazy!! I cant stand it! I feel like shaving it off but I still have a lot of hair left so I'm just totally confused now! This just sucks! :(

Although treatments appear to be successful for some, others will argue that the effects of treatment are purely coincidental. When it comes to alopecia, all too often the hair does what it wants to do regardless of what you throw at it. Always use your own judgement when it comes to treatments. Doctors have a tendency to promote drugs, it's how they keep their jobs. Just be cautious of relatively new drugs as they don't seem to test them anywhere as good or as long as they once did (look at all the controversy with the NIHI vaccine now). Do what makes you happy and if trying to find a treatment that may work for you makes you happy then so be it but don't be afraid to find out more about the drug and it's test results. Good luck!
