Hi, I remember feeling the same way.  I am not sure if this will make sense to you right now, but you will have to expand your definition of "it gets better".  For example, if your definition of thing getting better is that your hair grows back or that everyone accepts you, that may be a challenge.  But if your thoughts are to challenge yourself and flourish to live a full life whether you grow our hair back or not -- that is real healing to me.

According to me it gets better is when my hair grows back. I want to be strong about it. I want to prepare myself for a situation where it may not, but it's very difficult to even imagine such a situation. I've put my life on hold till my hair grows back. I didn't get half the things I wanted from college. I don't want to keep ranting on about it but if my hair doesn't grow back, I don't think I will be able to deal with it.

you should look into getting a flash enhancer! I have one that I love, its kind of like hair extensions but for the top of your head. I hate the idea of wearing wigs forever too, so its a great inbetween. It helped me so much with gaining my confidence back.

Find someone to talk to especially at first..it helps...I like this online community. But I REALLY miss my face to face groups from 20-30 years ago! Sharon B
