I have so got used to living in a university town

So I'm in a kind of 'I quite like my head' phase and have been wearing little bands with bows on my head with nothing else. I go through phases of wearing wigs then not etc depending on my mood. Now in Lancaster, my university town, there are 2 universities so like 20 000 student and no one bats an eye at a bald girl, what peace! Soon as I went home for a weekend (which is chav central) I got comments. seriously I was there 5 minutes and some idiot pointed at me and said 'what the **** does she think she looks like?' Why do people feel the need to make comments like that? GRRRRR I can't stand rude people!

Ignore the idiots, Lyndsey. Your experience in Lancaster shows that people can and do get used to seeing a bald woman. It becomes unremarkable, and just takes time.....and more bald ladies out there!

National Bald Out 2010 is July 17.
