Hello rez, he does not take any oral meds and this was the only treatment we have talked to him about I am not even sure what betamethasone is...

Christine, betamethasone is some medicine used in major studies towards alopecia, a lot of recoveries have been made during the studies read these two studies http://www.ijdvl.com/article.asp?issn=0378-6323;year=2004;volume=70...
and http://pjms.com.pk/issues/octdec109/article/article26.html

I recently got hit by this and i am 28 years old guy, i have it very minor as of now, i wonder if i should try shmuel gonns treatment. If its just the apllication on scalp, how does it treat it from within and fixes the immune system? also do you apply this to his eyebrows?

I am not sure these are questions you can ask dr Gonen..I do know that my son went from 90% no hair to about 85% to 90% hair, . One day I found 2 small spots and in 9 weeks he was bald, and 2 months treatment his hair was coming in fast. He is only just turned 3 and I will only try natural products on him.

Hello everyone, Kyler is doing very well, he is one busy boy these days.I just register him for per-shcool for this sept. sniff sniff. I can't belive how fast time is flying. It is going to be 1 year in feb that this AA all started.I am still doing treatment and he has not lost anymore and has not re-grown in the 4 spots he has yet. But If there nver were to grow back I am fine with that cause he went from bald to 85% hair so I am happy. I was wondering as I was sitting through the registering meeting lastnight. What if the stress from be in a new place without mommy is going to make this happen agian??? I so wish I could take this from him and have it insead. which I am sure all parents feel. Well will post if anything canges. Thank you all for being there for me and having so many peolpe behind my son...oooxxx

Hi Christine,
I was wondering if you could tell me what Kyler's fingernails look like now? My daughter's hair is growing back with the Hair Up treatment and we are feeling quite positive about it. I've always been curious about the correlation between the condition of the nails and the alopecia. Do you have any thoughts on this?
Thanks....Tara

Hello Tara;

Yes there is a correlation between the AA and condition of the nails... I have had nail problems since I was a little girl. ..I also know many people with AA having nail problems..
