I have no designated Coimbra practitioners here in Toronto Canada. I've had alopecia Universalis since I was 30...I am now 55.. Over two years ago I had my genome read and found out I have polymorphism in my VDR (vitamin D receptor gene) where I don't convert sunlight into vitamin D very efficiently. When I went to get my vitamin D levels checked at the time at I was under 30 (ng/ml) . …very low. Since then, I started on 10000 IU taken daily with K2 and magnesium. A small dose compared to the managed high doses under Coimbra supervision. Presently I’m at 48 (ng/ml) and the following changes occurred since. My eye lashes are returning…about 50%. I stared to grow chest and pubic hairs again and hair on my shoulders of all places. Some hair on my head but not uniform. Our VDR gene is responsible for keratin production as well. My nails after a year became less prone to chipping and drying. I will keep you posted as more changes occur as I get my Vitamin D levels over 60 (ng/ml)
Keep us posted.
