More hair shedding! Depression is getting worse

Ok, so more and more of my hair is coming out and I am getting scared I am going to lose all of it...I have been using the olux foam as the Dr prescribed and it does not seem to be helping...It has been a month and see no change or regrowth, in fact I have gotten two more spots..Has anyone ever experienced more itchying and hair loss while using the Olux foam? Also, head seems to be red and irritated more so than before, not sure if it's from the foam or just my body...Around the patches I can pull a ton of hair out...So scared can anyone help with my question please?...

to trish , Hi I think I can actually say I know exactly what you are going through . I was diagnosed with AA about five months ago . i devloped a huge spot basically overnight . It has lest me sef concsious about my apperance even though you can't see the spot unless I show you . IT is about the size of a half dollar and was getting hard to hide . The more hair I would see fall out would pu me in this dep dark depression and I almost felt like I was going insane . Luckily I have a wonderful doctor who is loving and understanding cause on those bad days I could go to her and she would get me out of work intill I felt like could deal . I am now recieving steriod shots and they seem to be working , i guess . I do notice after the shots I am alot more tender and itchy . I take some meds for anxiety , but stir away from the antidepressants cause they made everything worse including my hair loss . my advice to you i to take it one day at a time and thank god for every day he gets you through . You could have it worse like .. death .

Hi Letcia, Thank you for responding..Yes, I myself feel like I am going crazy dont know how much more I can take..Have you tried topicals or just went straight to the injections? So, your side affect to the injections are tender and itchy? and have you noticed any growth since you have had them or it getting bigger?

yes I have had growth but slow and I avoid lookiing at it all the time so I can't really tell if it's growing . Neve tried topicals cause my insurance doesn't cover creams . Also noticed my regrowth hair is really fine and a few are white . But I'm just thankful there is regrowth and that I havae only one spot it could be worse . I have really thick hair so I cover it well no one would beleive how big it is unless I actually showed them .

Hi trish , no never tried topical creams my insurance doesn't cover them . My dr says the craems doesn't gets the scalp deep enough so has little success . I have noticed regrowth but then hair I am due to go back for another set on the 14th . I'm just lucky I have only one spot to try to hide .Immediatley after the injections I was extemeley itchy almost unbearable and my boss even noticed at work and told me to stop itching cause its making it worse .

Aloe from a plant has worked on burns for me, and Domeboro tablets soaked in water and used as a compress have, too, when I had an allergic reaction on my face years ago. Can you ask a pharmacist for free?
