Hi Krystal. My daughter lost all of her hair freshman year high school final exams the week of her 15th bday. I think I cried for a year. Watching her suffer still brings a shudder to my body. She's 18 now and just finished first semester college (deans list) We did all the treatments out there. No regrowth :( she has 2 freedom wigs. It's been a journey. I still wake up in the middle of the night worrying about her. It's been a journey of acceptance and growth. I have to say with time it does get better I promise. Ask me anything. I have been there.

Hi Krystal!! My 14 yr old Daughter has been diagnosed with AA and she has now lost all of her hair and eyebrows and eyelashes. I think the most important advice i have given her is that this will not define who you are and who you will become. This will not keep you from doing anything unless you let it. So far she has been a trooper. We cried for about a week. And when she found out that all of her friends still love her with or without hair she was much much better. We get up every morning and we paint on eyebrows and we tape on her hair and we glue on her eyelashes. She is captain for the Jr. High Cheer Squad and Captain of the Volleyball team. So this has been a big adjustment for all of us. But with Gods help and alot of crying she have climbed that mountain and everything is much better. I am praying for you and above all wishing you the best of luck...
