Okay so I finally ordered my very first wig last night! And yes, suprisingly I am super excited over it. My excitement mainly comes from a particular video series from a person on youtube by the screenname: twinkeez2003

This woman has been very inspirational and helped my get over the hump of having to wear a wig for the first time. The wigs she tries on look so natural and are on the less expensive side considering the hair is 100% Indian Remy. So I ordered one of the wigs from the site featured on her video blog post. It's called misswigs.com and they have a nice selection of wigs. So here she is:

For the first wig, I wanted to go with a wig that was similar to my existing hair style. She is a Yaky Straight #1 16''. I believe the wig will be slightly longer than my natural hair. If all goes well for this wig, I will be buying the 20in Body Wave featured on twinkeez2003's blog as my second wig purchase.

The biggest thing I'm worried about is the glue part. I'm not sure how detrimental it is to the skin or sorrounding hair. I've never used glue before so I'm not sure what the pros and cons are. I'm also really hoping that this wig will look natural enough to go unnoticed.

So yeah, I'm really excited and anxious how it will look on my head! I will post a pic of the final results :)

Hi Jessi,
Please make sure you do a patch test with the adhesive you will be using. Leave it on for 24hrs or whatever the manufacturer recommends. This will give you a good idea how well your skin will tolerate it.
