My social phobia can still raise its ugly head

Today we were in the mall and I was checking out the boots at different shops. Once when my social phobia was rampant I could never have done that so I've come a long way. BUT as I went from shop to shop, unable to make a decision about which boots I wanted to buy my husband John joined me and said, "see any you like? What about this pair" I was indecisive going on about oh I don't know, are they too plain/fancy/anything? Then he said try them on and lets see and immediately I felt better. I realise my phobia still exists in that I can't make a decision about a purchase and that it's been like that for years. However, when John's with me and stays while I try something on I feel so much better, like this is fun whereas before I just feel like breaking into tears and feel so stupid, like a child who can't make up their mind over anything. So I walked out with my boots, feeling pretty good, but also knowing I've got some work to do in that area. I can't rely on him all the time to help me with the small things! [but I love it when he does :)]

I couldn't find what I liked in HATS at Haight-Ashbury in SF last week, but wanted almost ALL the hats in a shop in my own area yesterday. Libra indecision reigned, as did unemployment income. Bet your BOOTS I'll be back there with my first paycheck on a new job! Applied for 4 jobs last night to hurry it along....

I got a hippy blouse from the 60s at Haight-Ashbury a few years ago when we were travelling through the US. Good luck on the job hunt!
