Northumbria University, Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK!

Hey all!
Thought I would keep you all updated! I moved into University halls last friday!! Loving it so far! I couldn't have asked for better house mates, really they are so so lovely! A house of 6 students, 3 girls and 3 lads. All studying different subjects, but we get on so well! We have a real nice family vibe, taking it in turn to cook for everyone each day, and the lads are so protective of us 3 girls when we go out!

And NO ONE cares about the 'bald issue'. I have had a few comments from other people outside of the university, but no student I have met so far have even looked at me strangely or asked about it!

I was so worried about moving, but now I wish I hadn't or been. It is so lovely 'Up North', although I haven;t heard any "Why Aye Man"s yet!!

Wonder if I will meet any Geordie Alopecians??
Any of you out there?

Take Care,
Liz x

That's great Liz! "Lad" is such a cute word, I think I'm going to start using it in the States.

Hiya Liz... glad to see you finally made it to civilization (i.e. a place where they deffo know how to paaaarty!!) And as it's the end of Summer, you've just got time to get y'self used to going out of a night wearing 2/3rds of sod-all. (Note to Americans: in case you don't know, Geordies from Newcastle are renowned for their beer-swigging attributes, and their ability to venture outside when it's -40 wearing merely a loincloth. ...it's fab!)

Next time I'm heading up to visit my pal in Whitley Bay, I'll give you a shout and you can.... well, hide, I suppose. :)

Enjoy!! xx

Thanks everyone! Hope times are good for you all!
Do they really not use "lad" in America? I guess it is a nice term for a guy though :)

Yes Norm I finally made it 'Up North' :) Although I'm not to sure on being referred to as "Southern" most times. Southern to most people here yes, i guess. But East Midlands!! Ahh well.
:) x Take Care x
