Hello all! I am now nine months pregnant and have about three to four inches of new growth on my bald spots. These past few days have noticed my scalp tingling. I did some research and found that I am most likely going to lose my hair again about three months after baby is born. Just wondering if anyone else has had this happen and if anyone has heard of Dr Gonens hair up treatment and if it works or not? Thanks!

I had no hair when I became pregnant, I did get a few tufts during my pregnancy, but yes it did all fall out about three months later.

Hello, Yes I can relate. With my 2 pregnancies, however my hair grew healthy. Soon after (3-4 months) my hair came out completely. My youngest is now 3yrs and my hair decided to grow back slowly. I must admit, unfortunately I believe this is a lifelong battle. Ive tried many hair treatments out there (not Dr Gonens)...I haven't found a cure for alopecia yet but acceptance. :)

My daughter's dermatologist said that the hair up would not work. I think that it may take advantage of people that are desperate. Ask your Dr. before wasting your money and make sure there is science behind it. Hormonal changes do seem to effect this condition. Hopefully you will be so caught up in the joy of your baby that the hair loss won't seem so overwhelming if it happens.
