I slept in my wig once. It still looked decent in the morning but I was soooo uncomfortable. My head was itchy and I just wanted to rip that thing off! I only wore it because I went on an over night fieldtrip with my son and I didn't want to embarress him. Not to mention, I didn't have the nerve to rock the baldie around all those strangers. I don't recommned sleeping in your wig though, it'll start looking like tumbleweed girl!

My daughter sometimes sleeps in her wig. She usually puts it in a loose pony tail. Sometimes she uses a satin pillow case, but most of the time she does not. It looks fine in the morning. I am sure that the hair does not last as long, but it still lasts a long time. Especially if you take care of it like deep condition ect.

Come to think of those six years I wore a bandanna to bed with my husband .... all night being in fear that it would come off. Can you imagine all the other troubles that presented ... if you know what I'm sayin!!! "Smile"
These silicone freedom wigs should not be worn to bed, silk or satin sheets. The friction will have you wearing a "BALD WIG" Your wig will be also losing it's hair. "Hey, why don't we all start wearing Bald Wigs, as a transition to our new self!" To continue .... I had to shave off the "bum fluff" in order to have my prosthetic wig made. Ladies with Alopecia Totalis, or Universalis have one less problem when wearing the vacuum wig ..."lucky girls" the problem for us chicks who got sparse hair, and need to shave in order to wear the wig ... have a concern, that after shaving, you put your vacuum wig on quite comfortably, however ... within 10 hours or so, that wig ain't gonna be your friend no more! I flew back to the USA and was upgraded to first class, so I thought I could lie down. Well my entire trip was messed up. Here I was in first class with a wig sliding off my head. Couldn't lay down and enjoy my trip in fear of the wig coming off. I also remembered the info given to me by freedom wigs, as to not sleep in the prosthesis, as it would ruin it. After all it's not a small price to pay $$$ so one needs to treat their hair with tender love and care. Not too much brushing ... dying ... washing, and definately not "too much cutting" cause it don't grow back! Naturally not a good idea to sleep in it either. Since that trip home, I decided to never wear it again, cause I didn't want to find myself in fear of being seen as "BEFORE & AFTER" So for me ... I rather have the shock tactic out in the open, and wear the wig for fun, or a change. At least I wont ever have to worry about my wig going bald on me............
