This is something i've learned to do over the course of my therapy!!
I now walk around bald in front of my whole family, everyday unless I go out of course, i'm not ready for that just yet, but I am very comfy around my family and no longer ashamed to be bald around my family and it feels great, especially when the fresh air hits your nice baldy head :)

much happier me today :)

Awesome advice and congrats! I used to always think that someday I would magically just grow confidence to walk around with no wig/hat in front of family etc. This was just a way of putting off actually doing it. Thanks for reminding and encouraging me to be proactive!

You are so courageous Lisa. Of course I'm bald in front of my husband John but as my family aren't around much I havent had the practise of being bald around them. When I am I get the feeling they aren't really comfortable but I suppose that's because they haven't had the practise either :) So well done!!

That is great news!! I am comfortable being wig-free in front of my parents and my best friend and her kids. That is about it right now. I have shown other people my au-natural look, but I do not go out in public or sit around with anyone but the ones I have mentioned. But most of the time if I am without my wig and I am not at home by myself I am wearing a bandana or hat. Baby steps I guess!

Good for you, baby steps until you find your confort zone. The cool breezes, the rain, it's a whole new experience being bald :)

Good for you, I have only been bald for the past 4 weeks and my wig comes off the minute I get in the door. If you know me well enough to be in my home you are going to see the real me. I do have an older sister who has had AU for the past 20-30 years and I guess because she always removed her wig as soon as she gets in this was never an issue for me.

OMG ... the feeling of rain on a bald head is amazing. I'm still covered in general public and at work but the rest of the time I'm au naturel.

That's great Lisa! My wig is one of the first things I take off when I come home from work...it's about the only time I wear one anymore, rest of the time scraves or bandana's. I hope to one of these days take those off too while I'm out in public.
