With Thanksgiving coming up soon, I wanted to write about what I am thankful for in my life. I am very thankful that I have all my limbs and they function properly. I have a friend who broke her hip at age 26 and she is on a long road to recovery, and I think that could have been me. I am thankful that I still have both my parents and two step-parents. My parents are very supportive and I am lucky to have them in my life. I am thankful to have my job until January. I will be getting laid off next year but I am glad I have a job during the holidays. I am thankful that I have a few good friends, one that will be there for me anytime I call her. Last but not least, I am very thankful that I am finally at a good place with Alopecia. I may not be 100% okay with it, but I have come a long way from where I was a year or two ago. Alopecia is difficult but I always try to remind myself that there are a million other things or diseases that I could have that are much more difficult. I am lucky to have several things to be thankful for this year.

YES! We have so much to be thankful for. I gave one of my wigs to a friend last year who was fighting her 4th bout of cancer. Alopecia sucks, but it hasn't stopped me from living my life. You've got a great attitude. Happy Thanksgiving. Mary

Yes, must agree that it could be alot worst than Alopecia. I'm not where I use to be with it and I'm def not 100% with it but I'm grateful that I'm not where I use to be and am on my way to a better place. I'm thankful for my awesome husband for his continued love and support and my kids WOW!! I have a great family that is there for me and I'm thankful for all the great ppl I've met through AW. Everyday is a new day and I'm thankful that I can open my eyes and see the world one more time. Thanks for posting Alliegator. Have a safe & healthy Thanksgiving!
