My best friend called me earlier today to let me know that her husband noticed a video on MSNBC that talked about Alopecia. He thought I might want to see it. I found it, and I thought I would share with you all. It mostly talks about Alopecia Areata, and it tells a young girl's story. I was in Florida for vacation with family this past weekend. We rented a condo by the beach. We decided on Saturday to have a shrimp boil. We had to go grocery shopping for everything to make it. My name is Allie, and I am a wigaholic. I've been obsessed with wigs for a year and 8 months. I should join a support group. :) I do not want to say how many I have at the moment. I posted a blog previously about a movie called "Happythankyoumoreplease". It is an Indie film so it was in limited release to movie theaters. I live in a large city so I figured it would show in my city. Unfortunately, I was wrong. I guess it only played in NY and LA. The other day I turned on the TV to have some background noise while I cleaned my house. I just left it on the channel it was on which was MTV. This morning I changed my profile picture on a social media website to a picture of my Dad & I in honor of Father's Day this weekend. It was taken when I was around 13. There is a movie coming out this year called "Happythankyoumoreplease". It is a drama from the Sundance Festival. I am so excited for it to come out because I like the actors in it. I just got back from spending some time in my home town with my family. I hadn't seen some of them in about 8 months, including my little 4 year old cousin. She is so cute. With Thanksgiving coming up soon, I wanted to write about what I am thankful for in my life. I am very thankful that I have all my limbs and they function properly. I have a friend who broke her hip at age 26 and she is on a long road to recovery, and I think that could have been me. I am thankful that I still have both my parents and two step-parents. I found out last week that starting on Jan 1st, my position at my job will be eliminated. So... I am on the job hunt. I started thinking about starting a new job and the fact that I wear wigs. My best friend's sister is a Manager of a hair salon. I went there the other day so that she could trim the bangs on a new wig that I ordered online. Thank goodness it was empty that day.
