Did anyone see the January 10 episode of "The Office", entitled "Lice"? If not - you can watch the whole thing here:

If you do not want SPOILERS, STOP READING this until after you've watched the episode. I'm about to tell what happens....
The office floozy, Meredith, is discovered to have head lice. It actually was likely brought to the office by Pam via her daughter. But, Meredith shaves her head early in the episode. The negative character, Angela, makes some truly offensive comments about how Meredith looks bald...calling her, at one point, "a monster", and grotesque (something like that...I haven't re-watched it).
I was getting pretty offended, but then at the end of the episode, bald Meredith invites Pam to go to a bar for a beer, picks up the bartender, and then gets up to sing karaoke. Pam tells her that not everyone could do it, but that "she rocks" the shaved look.
So, I went from being quite offended (this seemed much worse than that VEEP comment), to actually thinking this turned out as an affirmation of bald women. I don't remember another network series with a bald woman who wasn't a cancer patient. Meredith looked sassy and proud the whole time, and picked up a guy! Of course, in upcoming episodes, they'll probably have her get a wig rather than continue bald.
If you've seen it, what do you think about it?
