Treatments for eyebrows and eyelashes so far... new nutrition findings.

It has been quite a number of weeks since the last post and Ithought I would update my progress for those following this thread.

Well I discontinued the Lumigan for my eyelashes. The Dr. said to keep trying it, but I felt there was absolutely no change in the area at all. No fuzzies or anything so I elected to stop treatment.

On the happy side, my eyebrows have come in about 90% and they are thick and dark like I used to have before the Universalis kicked in. The Kenalog (cortisone) injections worked very welland I began seeing the first results after about 3 weeks.

I ahve a couple of area that need touch up injections to even out the length of one of my eyebrows, but other than that I am very happy with the outcome.

I hope that they stay in place and don't start to shed again.

On the nutruion side, I know I have had a few off Blog chats with people here regarding nutrition. I have hooked up with Kevin Brown who is the author of "The Liberation Diet" based out of New Jersey. His platform is eating raw foods like raw, farm fresh milk, eggs and butter. The fats are natural and good for us and contain high density levels of proteins, fats and minerals such as calcium, Vit. A and D. in a natural bio available form that we use very well.

I have located a Nutrition contact near the Greater Toronto Area who gets a local micro farm to produce the raw milk and butter and also farm fresh eggs. She picks them up for distribution to her clients 2 times per week.

So we'll see how this helps my skin and immune function as described in his book. People have reversed Diabetes, Colitis, lost fat and all kinds of other health conditions- so you never know what can possibly help with Alopecia? Besides Alopecia, I think we can all use the best nutrition to stay healthy overall.

I'll update again in a couple of weeks to see how I am feeling and if there are any more changes in the hair story.

regards,

Craig

Interesting stuff can't wait to see if this helps you all the raw stuff - it surely takes a lot of effort to go natural and raw.... thanks!!

i am totally interested in the whole body-diet connection and have heard many theories, but the lastest was taking a tablespoon of brewers yeast with each meal. a wholistic doctor who deals with cancer cures told me that and to cut out red meat. ready to give it a try. bk

Hi again gang- I have been on the raw milk for awhile now and my joints are doing great! I am sleeping well and I am staying lean-contrary to beliefs about whole milk being "fat"..I had some upgrades to my eyebrows done by a cosmetic artist- so far very hard to tell I had the process done- although it requires some evening out at the next sexsion. Some of the natural eyebrows are falling out so I decided to have the procedsure started to keep the eyebrows looking fuller over time and between injections which are now at 8 weeks apart.

I have some new fuzzies on my head- not sure if that will ever kink back in but time will tell.

Hope everyone is having a good summer so far- lots of rain and cool here in Toronto..

Hi Craig,

What is the eyebrow procedure with the cosmetic artist? Tattoos?
