Hi guys!
Was just wondering about vacuum wigs, i currently wear a regular human hair wig but it would be really great if I had something that allowed me not to feel so cautious of it falling off! Does anyone have good/bad experiences with vacuum wigs or just information on them that they could share?
Much appreciated :) x

Hi Emily. Hope you are well. I just want to be honest and tell you that I now sell the Freedom Wig but I just couldn't help reply as I needed to share my latest test of the vacuum wig. Last week I went camping with my family and went rock climbing (with helmet and rope), white water rafting (got launched out of the boat on a rapid) and hiking all without thinking once about my wig. I went down the waterslide several times in a hotel without issue and continue to waterski this summer at the lake with hair on. It has been my lifesaver and has never once failed me in terms of security! I think the vacuum wig allows you to really live the life you want to live without the worry of losing your wig when you least expect it. I bought my first vacuum piece and haven't looked back. I believed in the technology so much that I became a rep here in Canada and continue to see my clients' confidence grow. The Freedom wig is awesome!

I'm good thanks! Thanks so much for your help, my mind is a bit more made up now on getting a vacuum wig...they sound great! And i'm so pleased to hear that rock climbing wasn't a problem as its always been a hobby of mine but i haven't gone for a while since the alopecia started as lack of confidence. A few quick questions...do you have to shave your head everyday in order to wear it? and do you know the average price of one? Thanks again :) x

Hi Emily,
Rock climbing I have to say is going to become one of my hobbies as well. I loved it! In order to wear a vacuum wig you do need your scalp to be devoid of hair. That being said, you can allow some regrowth but the longer the hair the less the suction. Currently I have about 60% regrowth going on and I simply shave it in the shower...it honestly takes less than a minute. I figure my hair is not wearable, so shaving it really is a non-issue. In terms of cost you need to check in with your nearest Freedom Wig rep for the area to check on the cost. I'll comment on who to contact for pricing.

Go to www.freedomwigs.com to find out who your rep would be for your area. All the best and let me know if you have any other questions that I can help you out with.
Cheers,
Jenn
