Hi guys!
Was just wondering about vacuum wigs, i currently wear a regular human hair wig but it would be really great if I had something that allowed me not to feel so cautious of it falling off! Does anyone have good/bad experiences with vacuum wigs or just information on them that they could share?
Much appreciated :) x

I have tried pretty much every cream out there to try and get my hair back and the one that i'm using now doesn't seem to be doing much either, I've almost given up! The last option that i really have is multiple cortisone injections into my scalp. I don't know much about them and would much appreciate any information or feedback on them...are they painful? I'm not very good with needles but i'll try anything! PLEASE comment if you have any experience with them or even just a bit of info!…

i thnk you should tell them. i told my whole class when i was in 6th grade because we were going on a field trip and didnt want ppl makng fun of me. it is scary but its okay to be scared. i was, but i got over the fear and i told them. i look at it this way god made you for who you are and he gave you this disease because he knew you could get through it and be strong. so if ppl dont like you thats there fault dont let it bother you. they are just trying t make themselves look bigger and badder but all they are doing is making themselves look dumb. and i true friend will be there with you through it in the end.
Hi again Em hope some sense of what alopecia means for you is coming clear, keep asking questions, vent when you need to, feel the emotions you have too, and things should make more sense. Still going to be a tough journey.
Hi Emily thanks for the friend request. It must be pretty overwhelming at 14 to have aa...I'm so sorry you're going through this. There's no easy way to deal with it, in my experience it's just a matter of getting used to the idea your hair has gone awol and may never come back. It takes a while to accept that. On the other had your hair may come back! It's a weird disease and does what it wants. Are you getting any treatment? Sometimes the shots in the scalp have helped some people, not me, but some have said it's grown their hair back!
