My second bout of alopecia is developing in quite an interesting way. I have shaved my head as I did with my first experience of alopecia but this time my eyebrows are thinning and I now have patches on my body. The first time I had alopecia the painful stage of seeing hairs in the shower stopped as soon as I shaved my head. This time I have shaved my head but there are still hairs in the shower that clearly are coming out of my body. My body hair, beard and one set of eyelashes have changed colour from my natural dark colour to white or grey and in some places the hairs have fallen out leaving a thinned section of hair or patches

The hairs seem to go very dry and brittle before they fall out. If I see them before they fall out but when they have dried, they come out in my hands without any effort if I touch them. It does appear as though I am in the process of loosing all of my hair.

The prospect of this is not something I see as being bad and it does not worry me. In some ways is could be quite nice. I have always been very hairy and as such the prospect of having a smooth body clear of hair could be a change.

My thought process at the present time is such that I really feel that if I am too loose all of my body hair it would be better for it to happen sooner rather than later. In many ways I am tempted to have what is left waxed so that I cross the bridge to being hairless without spending too much time in the patches stage.

What to do????
