I myself can feel your pain, when you come onto this wonderful site and see all the beautiful faces with their bald heads held high you feel great for them but inside you hope that it wont get to that point for you because you feel like you look like something out of a bad scifi movie. But as days and years go by i continue to realize that i dont have a choice, my hair will continue to thin and one day i will have to shave it off and either find comfort in wigs (i hope) or find my own way of rocking the bald look and fight what societies twisted view of whats beautiful has been telling me all these years. we will get thru this and we will make it work. We are here for you and i hope you have a better tommorrow

Hey Andrea, don't be so hard on yourself! You don't know what you'll look like bald till it happens.... and you may not even get there! Anyway, over half of what peeps "see" of another person is dictated by attitude... be confident, be sassy, and they'll see an amazing gal!
Tiff, as for the "bad sci-fi movie" look.... well, I happen to think I'm from a GOOD sci-fi movie. Yep, deffo classy, that's me! So there! :)

Hi, Andrea:

You did what you felt was right to save your hair, and it didn't work. I agree with Norm. Don't be so hard on yourself. Forget about the clip ons, because they will probably only make a bad situation worse. You might be better off shaving your head, and purchasing good quality wigs to wear that compliment your lovely facial features. I know how you feel about being bald....but after 23 years of staring at a head full of ugly patches, I decided to go bald, and I feel so much better! And truly, today's wigs are not the monstrous creations of yesteryear.
