The perfect gift for an alopecian

Recently, I took up running. I'm just starting out, but it's one of the only things that helps releive my stress and make this whole alopecia thing seem more manageable. While running, I wear bandanas, but am totally bummed by the lack of selection at stores near me. They are all cheaply-made, obviously designed for men, or too dark (which when you add sun translates to too hot). Today my friend came over to give me a birthday gift- a totebag filled with dozens of cute, light-colored, girly bandanas! That thoughtful gesture really picked my spirits up. It's amazing what a gesture like that can do! Now I can run and feel stylish and less self concious.

I bought the coolest bandana with peace and love on it. I also found one with colorful stars. I know what you mean about finding cute, colorful ones.

LOL- I probably have that same bandana with "Peace and Love" with peace signs all over it! I found Wal-mart had a nice selection of bandanas, all different bright colors, camo, stars, you name it! And they are only $1.00 each!
That was really nice of your friend to give you such a thoughtful and perfect gift!

Well, girls, if you can't find the right bandanas, go to a grocery shop and score a bunch of bananas instead. They're also bright, colourful and really tasty, and I bet they make you smile too!
Just one thing, though.... don't try them on your head. They don't work. Trust me here..... :)

I bought my peace bandana at Walmart too. I haven't found any cool ones since. I bought two really cool crochet hats at Kmart and they are cool and comfortable.

I also got the green ones with peace signs! I think she just went to wallmart and tore up their bandana supply. :)
