I'm getting married in 6 months and when my bf orginally proposed to me, my hair was growing back although I still had to wear a wig because it was so thin and sparse (I lost almost all my hair two years ago). I thought that by the time my wedding would occur that all my hair would have grown back by then (even if they were thin)... perhaps I was too hopeful. I was at least hoping to have a short haircut and I wouldn't mind because at least I would have all my hair back for my wedding. However, just two months ago I started to notice that the new hair that has been growing back was starting to fall off again at a much quicker pace than the regrowth.
I have been wearing my wig the whole time and I know that my fiance does not mind my alopecia but I was really hoping to have all my hair back by my wedding day. The worst part is that I am having my wedding in the caribbeans and it will be really hot to wear a wig. I don't know what to do... right now i have a blad undercut and I definitely can't do without my wig because I have so many more patches now.. but I don't know how I'll be able to style it for my wedding. I guess this is starting to stress me out resulting in more hair falling out... Any suggestions on what I can do with my hair/wig? Has anyone ever worn a wig to the caribbeans?
Thanks in advance!
Congratulations! I've never been to the caribbeans..dont worry or think about it.. just go to a hair dresser and they'll give you a good suggestions.
What about a Juliet cap with veil attached?
My daughter has been to the caribbean in a wig. She wears an all swiss lace wig. She says it isn't hotter than hair because she doesn't have hair. She tapes it on with super tape and is able to swim and do water activities in it. She sleeps in it and changes it in the shower.Message me if you want the wig site we order from. They take one month to get in.
Tallgirl, what's a Juliet cap?
Yes, I wear hair all the time while on vacation. Don't despair! If you're wearing long hair you could do half up half down - that's always nice for formal events. Or if it's short just stick a flower behind your ear and call it a day.
I even swim in my wig (with bandanna).
You can make it work...don't worry, I'll be wearing hair on my day, too. :) At least we can prepare it ahead of time and not worry about what it's going to turn out like the day of. :)
You DO know that you can Google or Search online for any words or products, right? Even Wikipedia explains things! Think Romeo and Juliet...romance...Renaissance headware....
Type in JULIET CAP and see what comes up!
