Hello again my friend,
If you can believe it, my very first tattoo was on the back of my head. It was a butterfly with eyes in the wings. The butterfly has always been a symbol of freedom for me, and the eyes in the wings was because I always told my children that I had "eyes in the back of my head!!!" and after the tattoo, I guess they had to believe me...lol. Anyways, to answer your question about how painful it was, I can only say that it was more painful to watch my hair fall out every day than it was to get my head tattooed. I was so excited at the time, I don't think anything would have bothered me. In fact, the artists at the tattoo shop were taking bets on whether I'd chicken out....I won!!!! Each one after that, (there was 22 total sittings), was a piece of cake. It was my therapy and it really got me motivated to take on a brand new attitude. My self confidence grew leaps and bounds and I became an advocate for awareness and support for others. I think that if you want a tattoo....get a tattoo!!! I wish I was able to be there with you to hold your hand but if you do get one, know that I am there with you in spirit!!! Love and Hugs, Dotty

So your the first one to go to college, CONGRATS to you! Im sure your mother is SO proud. I saw that you want to be a fashion designer, thats cool. When you are famous, Im gonna say, heey, do you remember me? and then you can make me
some awesome clothes, lol. My kids and I get along great, sometimes I think I get on their nerves though, but its all good. My older son gets irritated cause when we go shopping, people think we are a couple, haha. He's so tall though so he looks older than 17. I think its great that you arent that far from me, maybe we could hang out sometime. You'd feel right at home with my family. :)

Girl, you can have a family and a career. In my case, I started my family at a very young age. As you can see, Im 33 and my sons are 17 and 15. But I work at a pediatric office and Im married to a wonderful man that happens to be a manager at a Walmart store. It's hard sometimes to keep everything in check, but I do what I can , when I can and the rest just has to wait. :) When my kids were smaller, I taught them to do alot of things so they are very self sufficient. They know how to do laundry, cook, and iron. I have to admit its not always easy, especially since they are very athletic and we do football and basketball, but I can tell you that I never miss a game. Im the loudest one out there, haha. And it gets hard to try and get stuff done, but I wouldnt trade it for the world. Im really scared how my life will change when they go off to college. They are my world and I will crumble when they go, almost makes me want anotheer baby. ALMOST! haha

Hey to you too,
Thanx for the comment. I love my tattoos, and I love it even more when people ask me about them because that is my opportunity to talk about Alopecia. Hope you have a great day.

Me personally, I don't like wavy wigs. Both me and my customers have had bad experiences with them. They always matt up. I think it has something to do with the process used to make the wig wavy. Being that I don't manufacture them myself, (I outsource to china), I can't give you an answer as to what the source of the problem is, but from what I do know it is not your fault at all.

Oh my gosh! You are super close to me. I know you have to know where the Statesville walmart is and I shop there sometimes, Im only 20-25 minutes from there. My husband used to work at the Mooresville walmart. Anyway, what kind of alopecia do you have ? Mine started after taking that antidepressant, which sucks. But I am happy to have this place to talk to people.

Yes I do deal with a lot of clients with alopecia. I'm actually on my way to one of their houses to drop off her 2nd wig. What happened with yours?

Oh ok! Well I'm glad you heard about it, because everything i've heard is that it is SO wonderful. I'm looking so forward to going because I've heard so much positive feedback. And just the thought of being surrounded by fellow alopecians is wonderful.

That would be really cool if you could go, but of course, school is important! I'm definitely excited about going, & this will be my first time so i can't wait. I've only talked to one woman who had it, but she had a full head of hair so it wasn't the same...so this will be great. Have you ever been to one before?
