HEY pretty lady! So whats new? hows everything going? you dressing for halloween? every year the hubby and i host a murder mystery party. its a western theme. super excited going to be wearing a black wig....i tease the hubby that he gets to sleep with my mutiple personailies...hehe
Sweets I so can relate! I still have those days. My husband and I have been married three years and together 10 years. He has seen me when my hair was at its fullest to when every last strain fell out. I felt very ugly and less of a girl during the time. Some days i feel bad for him that he has to be next to the girl who isnt the norm, but he doesnt see my imperfections like i do. your boyfriend sounds amazing and having them help pick out the wigs is what makes it thrilling. my last one from raquel my hubby picked out. hehe I just changed my wig to a josph paris. i just now have been way more vocal about alopeica because for the longest time i flet it was going to come back, but i have accepted that this is who i am :( so no point in hiding or avoiding to talk about it. so please feel free vent to me anytime you need!!!!! god knows i have my days. xoxo hope your days have been better!
hey pretty girl....aww thanks for the awesome compliment! mine are from raquel welch. i think im going to try somthing new next week...crossing my fingers that im happy! if you ever need any help or advice or just want to vent im here!!!

Hi Lauren! How are you? I know what you mean about going through alot this last year! UGH! I hope you are doing good! Hope to chat soon!
Hi, thanks for the note. You know, I think the reason I m accepting it so well is that in my mind, it could be so much worse. It could be cancer, or some debilitating disease that robs you of so much more. But it's not. It's hair. It does suck, but my babies love me regardless and think I look pretty cool now. Yours will too. I shaved mine because I was tired of the bald spots and patches. I feel much better without it actually. I get lots of compliments on it. Kinda cool. Good luck to you, and feel free to write anytime!
Hi Lauren, I wanted to take this opportunity to welcome you to Alopecia World. I have been living with Alopecia Areata since 1991 and know full well the struggle it can be. I look forward to getting to know you. Cheryl, Co-founder
Thanks Lauren. It's such a huge blow when you find out you have any form of alopecia and acceptance really is the hardest part. Hair loss itself is like a death, and something you have to mourn over just like you would the passing of someone dear to you. But I firmly believe it will make us all stronger eventually. Maybe later rather than sooner, but I'm sure it will happen.
Hi Lauren!! I've been dealing with A/A since age 6.. And A/T since age 14! And not til last week did I tell my closest friends... I'm 21! I have had a hard time dealing with it, but I have found a lot of encouragement through this site and having someone to talk to that knows what you are going through helps SO much! Feel free to message me anytime! Hopefully I can be of some help! ~ Kristin
Hi Lauren,
I know how hard it can be. I have had alopecia for about 30 years. After I became the spokesperson for the National Alopecia Areata Foundation, a lot of women were needing my help and support, so I wrote a book called, "If Your Hair Falls Out, Keep Dancing!" It might make you feel better. Check it out on my page -- and let me know how else I can help.
