Kayla Martell crowned Miss Delaware 2010
Miss Kent County Kayla Martell was crowned Miss Delaware 2010 this weekend. Martell's platform is the National Alopecia Areata Foundation. She herself has alopecia and has been bald for 10 years. She often visits with young girls who have alopecia to show them that someone with their condition can do anything. She will compete for the Miss America title in Las Vegas in January 2011. I wanted to be Miss america as a young girl and always wondered how I would feel as they crown me. How will they crown her with her wig on. . . .I feel very proud that she represents us.

Kayla will be on cbs morning show at 8 tomorrow and fox and friends on tues. She will also be in People magazines next issue. Her goal will be to promote alopecia awareness
