Interesting. I am using Restasis for dry eye issues, and it is cyclosporine. I am getting better quality tears, but it doesn't grow eyelashes.

Hi, The studies make it looks like it works but has side effects and people relapse after stopping. Have you been offered this treatment by your Dr? I have not heard of it being used for alopecia before.

Yes I have been offered this treatment, but a little hesitant because of the possible side effects. Just wondering if anyone has tried it and what their results were.

Hi there. I was put on cyclosporine together with prednisone. I had regrowth on my head, eyelashes and eyebrows grew back, and I even got enough leg hair to justify a wax! :) Unfortunately, both medications have some serious effects if taken long-term, so once my prednisone quota was reduced, the hair ended up reducing as well. Back to being bald (on the upside however, I happily don't have to go back to waxing just yet!). Hope you get better results if you go this route.
