Dancing with wigs

I've always worn the regular wigs and tightened the cap when I needed to, even though I do need to pay attention not to make sudden movements. I've started to dance though, and hair flicking is part of the dance, help! I've lost almost all my hair in the bangs area and some in the back, so was thinking of combining the back comb with maybe some kind of adhesive in the front for my bangs area so it doesn't move? Does anyone have any suggestions?

You could also try a Wig Grip by Milano. My daughter takes ballet and lyrical lessons and this seems to work for the most part. We're hesitant to use tape as her hair has started to grow back a little bit in the front and I don't want to pull the fuzz out!

I think the hair extensions is very easy and natural.My friends can not tell the difference between my real hair and the hair extensions. Some days ago, I find a good hair extension shop on line, and you can have a try.hair extensions

Put the hair you do have in tiny ponytails with very small rubber bands, then you can use undersized bobby pins to pin through the cap into the tails you created. This will hold a wig on in a tornado. Be sure to cut the rubber bands out, not pull when you want to remove the wig. If the back is stable the front is unlikely to move but you can use a headband underneath or tape on tape-tabs.

Thanks for your help! My wig cap is like a thin mesh tho and i'm so afraid of tearing it if i'ms ticking bobby pins through. And i'm kind of unsure what you mean but cutting the rubber bands out, do you mean remove the bobby pins, take off the cap and then cut the rubber bands?

I dance in all of my wigs, custom sized lace units as well as synthetic petites. In my experience, if the wig cap fits my head well, I need very little adhesive. In fact, I have been using only Got 2B Glued hair spiking glue as an adhesive for quite some time, and the wigs do not come off, even when I perspire. They might get a bit loose if I sweat profusely, but once I cool down, the grip returns. I've never lost a wig while dancing...and I have been known to flip the hair once in a while. ;)

There is something called "the gripper" that might be useful in making the wig more secure.

I have tried the gripper on myself and numerous clients and find it to be a total waste of money. There is a silicone one that seems better but it is around $40.00.

I have a Gripper wig that cost quite a bit of money. I hardly use it because I find it too uncomfortable, and when I perspire even a little bit, the silicone slips. While many people love them, I would NEVER invest in another.The old tried and true custom sized lace caps with a little adhesive are still my go-to solution.
