I've gotten steroid injections in my eyebrow area. Worked for me after two sets of injections (1 set per month, 2 months) - eyebrows growing steadily. Not so much for the patches on my scalp though - some are receptive, some aren't. But my experience is that it has worked.

Another option (that I currently use) is latisse - I have thinning eyelashes on one eye (not the other though), so my dermatologist prescribed me latisse. She then said you can use it on your eyebrows too, to regrow some of the hair. It has sustained the hairgrowth, and I have new eyelashes coming back.

I used to get them...but that was a long time ago, back in the late 1970s/early 1980s. In the end, I lost all my hair, eyebrows included, and just wound up with a lot of steroids in my system (because it never goes away).  Everyone is different. I used to get terrible hystamine reactions to the injections, so my eyebrow area would blow up and be extremely sore for about a day after. 

Have you looked into cosmetic options? I saw something recently that looked great for someone who has some brow but needs a fill in. I currently buy the semi-permanent eyebrow marker pens and feather in hair strokes and then cover it with a powder. I'm told they look very natural. They look okay to me. :)
