I am devastating that congress has passed this bill to hurt so many americans. Those of us with Alopecia or those of us who love someone with this condition should be contacting their Senators and telling them to vote "NO"
Please start calling now. Here are some key points you can tell the person who picks up the phone at your Senators office:
I urge you to vote "NO" on the American Health Care Act.
The AHCA will result in a loss of coverage for million of American
This bill would be devastating for all people like me with chronic conditions.
High -risk pools are not a suitable replacement for ACA patients protections.
The AHCA will allow insurers to charge me an unaffordable premium only because of my condition.
The AHCA removes requirements that insurers cover certain services such as prescription drugs which make it harder for me to manage my condition.
This also means that more of my treatments can have lifetime and annual limits and unlimited out-of-pocket costs applied.
If the AHCA passes, I will certainly pay more money for insurance that will benefit me less.
If this does pass and as more drugs are brought to market that may help us grow hair we may not be able to get them approved by our insurance and if they do there will more greater costs to our pocket books. We can talk all we want about Xeljanz or any other drugs brought to market and we will never be able to afford it. We need to stop what we are doing and make these calls. Please contact Gary Sherwood at NAAF if you need further information on how you can make a difference.

Oh settle down. Treatments, prostetics and drugs for Alopecia are not covered anyway. Those are considered cosmetic.
People aren't going to die. You liberals are so quick to condemn any little thing. Besides that it hasn't passed in the Senate yet AND people are dancing around before the band starts playing.
