Please help!! So many questions that need answers. Anyone with same problems with any answers?????

Starting losing large amounts of hair in Oct 2010.

Diagnosed with Female Pattern Baldness in Feb.

Started losing body hair in Feb. It has been 8 months and right eyebrow is almost gone. Went back to derm last week and he said TE of the body hair. Doesn't make any sense that my eyebrow would be almost gone. I need answers and don't know where to get them. The Dr's just take guesses what do I have?? FPB??? Alopecia Areata????? He said no on the Areata, cause I don't have spots and the pattern.

What is happening to me??? Does anyone any of the same issues with the same diagnose?

My entire life I always had a very itchy scalp and never any issues. I still have a very itchy scalp and don't lose to much hair. Losing more on the body hair then the head. I get itchy eyelids and eyebrows, the Dr said it's dry skin. Does all this seem to go together???? I am some regrowth on the eyebrows, but it's thinner then the hair I had. My arms pits and other body hair grow back fine, just a little less then I had. The eyebrows and lashes are going the fastest. Sorry I am all over I just have to many things up in the air. Is is FPB, TE or Areata? I personally don't think it's FPB, cause everyone I have asked doesn't seem to have body hair effected.

Anyone's input and experiences would be appreciated.

What can I use for eyebrows? I am not good at makeup and having a very hard time with this eyebrow thing. The don't wanna look like a clown, but need to fill them in.

Supposedly chronic TE can lead to loss of hair other than on your head - I have CTE and FPB - but my hair loss is only on my head. A scalp biopsy can tell you what you are dealing with - tell your doctor you want a definite answer - with the biopsy - (no pain at least for me and I think 1 maybe 2 stitches) - if your doc will not do it - get another one.

Also there is diffuse AA - which I think thins hair all over your head but I don't know about body hair.

I have noted as I have gotten older I do have less and less body hair but I never had much to begin with .

Get the biopsy and you will know what you are dealing with and what are your possible treatment options so that you can research them and decide how you wish to proceed.
Thanks for your response Lilybell. I did have a scalp biopsy in Feb. I actually had two done. They diagnosed FPB, but I was also losing eyebrows at that time. In the past 8 months I am now losing eyebrows, eyelashes, nose and ear hair. The legs, arms, pubic and arm pits grow back, but has been thinner. The eyebrows and lashes don't seem to be growing back. I don't know everyone I have talked to that has FPB, don't have body hair loss. I do have hair loss all over my head. It has thinned out on top and the sides. I have herd that diffuse AA and FPB can sometimes be mixed up. I was thinking I had something else going on cause of the body hair.
I tend to lose hairs in my right eyebrow when stressed. Weird, huh? Now, I try to keep myself calm even when big events occur.
The only consistent thing about this condition seems to be how random it is. The only question that I can answer is that tattoos for may daughter's eyebrows were such a blessing. It saves so much time. We had them done light and when she has eyebrow growth they just help fill in. When her brows fall out she uses make-up over them. Sorry for the delayed response.
