Question for full lace wig wearers. How frequently do you take shower with your wig on?

Never. I take mine off after each wearing, and I only use Got 2B Glued to hold them on. Since the caps are custom sized, they fit very well, so I don't need a lot of glue.
I like to be "au naturelle" in the house and among friends.

My wig is made of 100% Human Hair. But still i wear shower cap. i read this Free E-book of Wig Care They also sell pretty good wigs. i bought one myself from them.

I know this is not about full lace caps... but I am upset with Hip Hats with Hair. I ordered 2 pieces. Had to send one back at a cost of $9.00 with insurance. It was returned to me because they did not sign for it. PO sent them 3 notices. I have not been happy with the customer service from these ladies. It is bad enough to have this "condition", but to have to deal with unhelpful staff is ???.
Just letting off steam!
I wear a follea and use no glue. I have showered with it one, but not often. The silicone messes with my skin.

I don't believe you are suppose to shower in your Follea...there are vid's showing how to look after these pieces and the ones I have seen require an Icare head, pins and being very careful not to get conditioner or shampoo up near the cap area as the handknots holding the hair in place can undo. Linda, go and have a wee search as the washing instructions are on Utube I think.
Sorry to hear the experience you have had with Hip Hats. I personally have only heard good things about what they do.

Everyday at the gym, I just wear a shower cap.
If you actually want to wash it while it's on your head that's a whole other story, First the pressure from the water can push the hairs back through the lace, which is bad. Also you really don't want to get the shampoo or conditioner anywhere near the scalp. First because of the time it'll take to rinse you'll risk the above mentioned problem, and conditioner because it can also loosen the knots. I've done it a few times but I wouldn't recommend it if you can avoid it. The hair really doesn't need to washed as often anyways since there are no oils to make it look greasy.

You still need to be careful about the pressure of the water on the 'scalp', but if you are quick and careful it's doable. Sometimes I just get the bottom 3/4 of the wig wet in the shower just so I can have it wave up (just realized you're a guy so this method's probably not for you, unless you like to wear your hair long?). To sum it up, the important part is just not to stand with your head directly under the shower head for any real length of time. If you just need to get it wet quickly to style it, you should be fine.
I wish I had a photo to show you of what I mean when the hair gets pushed through, I've seen it in person but I can't seem to find any photos.

I'm glad I could help.
I had never heard extensively about it until I talked to a wig maker and specialist. He told me some horror stories and even showed me a piece that someone brought to him in the hope that he could fix it. It was beyond help, but he kept it to show as an example to demonstrate the importance of proper washing techniques.
I should mention that this can also happen when you wash it off of your head, so keep the same thing in mind if you run it under a faucet. Personally I wash in in a bucket then rinse under the faucet. When I rinse I turn the unit inside out so the water is hitting the lace and going though to the hair on the wig. This is just what I do, there are a lot of ways to properly wash a piece off you head that will prevent this.
