we have a few threads about oral Xeljanz treatment but nothing dedicated to information about the topical form. The cream seems like it would have less systemic side effects (more suitable for children?)

Are the people who have been using the cream getting it prescribed specifically as topical, or are you being prescribed it specifically or are you being prescribed oral and having it prepared as topical?

is there a separate trial being run for the topical version?

Does the topical treatment warrant a distinct information thread separate from the oral treatment?

My son is too young to participate in any trials, particularly of oral medication, but I'm curious what will be available to him in the future

thank you!

On week 8 of the topical my eyebrows are filling in nicely and I think I am getting some new growth.Hard to tell because I have about 30 percent hair spread all over my head diffinitely my hair stopped falling out.

are you applying the cream to the bare spots on your scalp in addition to your eyebrows?

If I recall correctly you are also taking oral Xeljanz?

Just bare spots and down from 3 xeljanz and 2 plaquenil to just 2 xeljanz.
To all topical jak inhibitor experimenters out there: is there a way to draw attention to this blog to find out more results from participants in the trial? I really wish to know.

I will finish a clinical trial testing Jak topical in two weeks time. So far no regrowth but apparently it happens after 3 months, I'll keep you posted

Hi Peachfuzz I'm on week 9 of the xeljanz cream applying it only to my large spots and eyebrows also on 2 xeljanz a day.One eyebrow grew in some hair was at 40 percent now at bout 75. One of the spots seems to have grown in some hair. Are you on the pills? Please keep us posted on your progress. Are you going to stay on it after the 12 weeks?

Well done on your new growth!

I am not on oral JAKs. I will have finished 12 weeks of Jak topical in two weeks time.

From what I can gather some specialists believe both oral and topical jaks will be the best treatment to grow and retain hair. I'm going to see if I respond to the topical and then make a call whether to try oral, or both.

I will let you know how I am getting on

Hi Peachfuzz,
Yours sounds like a logical plan! Best wishes!

6 weeks on topical xeljanz with no response as of yet. pharmacist said to give it 3 months.

Well we're not responding quite like the lab rats they had full regrowth in 10 days!!!At least the cream doesn't burn or make the scalp itch!So I plan to give it at least 6 months.

ARE YOU using 0,5% cause the time can be the low % is possible in rats they used 3%

2% lipoderm based cream
