What should I use to wash my head?

I've been washing my head with bar soap for months now and im wondering if it has any negative effects(ruining my chances of growing hair). So should i still use it or switch to shampoo?

I have my daughter use shampoo since it is made for scalps. I would worry that bar soap would dry out your skin. I know neither will matter with regard to hair growth. It is just skin condition that I would be concerned about.

I use my facial cleanser on my head, and talking about a natural shine. I'm often complemented on that.
