Since FPHL, I have tried almost every way of covering up/styling my hair/hairdress/headdress. I started out with Toppik and hair thickening shampoo with midlength biohair. I wore extensions, a topper, a full wig, a lace front, shaved my head for wig wearing, grew it back and went to hats, and now I'm wearing concealer on a short bob. What I still want to try, is a bonded topper, but on biohair, because I want to keep wearing concealer now and then. Or the other way round, mostly concealer, and sometimes a bonded topper. I don't know yet. I'm also planning to buy clip on hairpieces to use in combination with concealer.

How about you? Do you stick to one type of headcover or hairpiece mostly? Or have you changed up like I have over the past years?

My daughter started with a custom made topper but as the alopecia progressed she needed to go to a full lace wig. Try different things.
Youth: headband and half-wig, depending on location and amount of hair loss
Young adult: full wig, then hair grew back for about 15 years
Adult: full wigs, different styles and colors
Mature woman: scarf, hat, wig, nothing. Who the L cares? Sometimes it is just dang fun to shock people at parties and on vacation. Ha!

No, I never fussed with expensive wigs, glues, concealers, etc. Synthetic wigs under $150. Fact is fact: I lost my hair. Now I can do whatever I want to be passable for work and errands, even if I don't match the color I had 50 years ago.
Shaved the head and wear good synthetic wigs under $150.00 like Tallgirl. Wouldn't even wear those if it were acceptable on my job to go bald. So much drama about hair....when really what counts is what's in your head (and heart).
I've experimented with many of those options over the years. I enjoy trying different looks, not just with my hair, but I like to change my eyeglasses style fairly often.
