Wigginout custom wigs

Has anyone had experience with wigginout? My family wants to donate hair to make me a wig and the stylist recommended using Wigginout. Any feedback would be appreciated. As well as feedback about making a custom wig, is it worth it?

I have not used Wigginout by my wigs are all custom made and while expensive I find they are all I can wear. I am allergic to synthetic hair and find anything other than all hand tied hot and itchy. I have a small head so I need a custom wig to fit well and feel secure. Plus I wear my hair long and I have and odd shade of red hair so given all that I found I was just wasting my money on wig after wig that lived in my closet so I bit the bullet and got my first custom wig - I have not looked back since. I use a wig maker in the DC area but others on here have had great luck with measuring their own heads and using wig makers overseas which can save a lot. My wigs are made from a mold of my held so they fit like a glove. Hopefully you will some other replies from others who use other vendor. I know the hair had to gathered in a specific way - so the cuticals all face the same way to be used and it may take more than one persons hair to get a wig made. Good luck!

Hello Michele, If your family would like to donate hair, you can order a factory for your custom wig.

How to cut hair for your wig:
First make a center part. Starting from this center part, part the hair over the top of each ear. This will create four sections of hair. To create four ponytails, tie the hair in front of each ear into ponytails, and then tie the hair behind each ear into ponytails.
Make sure each ponytail or braid is tightly secured. Hair that is loosely wrapped tends to become loose when shipped, making it unusable. Be sure hair is tight and secured with several rubber bands.

Cut hair above rubber band.

Place the hair in a plastic bag or wrap it in tissue paper.

You'll need also 6 measurements or head shape template for your custom wig. See in the picture "How to take wig measurements".

I bought a wig from Wiggin Out and was very dissapointed. It did not look natural. I spent $3500.00 on it. Ouch!!!
